The idea behind these images is to explore the idea of the opposite of a panorama.
In a panoramic view, there is an exaggerated sense of space, and these images reverse that.
I also find, and you may not, that I get a weird effect when looking at these images, which
is a bit like looking through a keyhole. My brain seems to try to 'look round the corner' into the
image.
